Internship Opportunities
The Strand Dover is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) performing arts center and entertainment venue in downtown Dover, New Hampshire. We are currently looking to expand our team, so we have exciting opportunities to offer! We are looking for motivated individuals who are ready to gain experience and build skills in the entertainment industry to fill our internship positions. We want people who think outside of the box, have a drive for success, and can come up with innovative new ideas to help support the Strand. These are non-compensated positions that are eligible for college credit and have potential to expand into full-time positions in the future. This opportunity will not only add real world experience to your resume but will help to support the arts at a historical theater.
Open Positions
Photographer
(In-Person)
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in capturing the vibrant energy and artistry of live performances. The intern will attend in-person events to take photos for promotional purposes. They will work with our marketing team to provide professional assets to utilize for digital marketing and social media campaigns. This is a great way for photographers to build their portfolio.
Community Engagement Coordinator (Hybrid)
This internship requires an outgoing individual to develop and implement strategies that enhance community involvement and participation in our programs and events. The intern will work with our marketing team to build relationships with local organizations, schools, and community groups, as well as local media sources. Responsibilities may include attending community events, representing the Strand at city stakeholder’s meetings and soliciting organizations for sponsorships or grant acquisition.
Event Assistants
(In-Person)
We are seeking two on-site event assistants to support the venue manager in minor operational tasks. This could include, but is not limited to; taking the lead in decorating for events while staying within a budget, ticket check in/sales, snack bar sales, table setup, ushering, etc. The event assistants will attend each event applicable. If you are resourceful, responsible, and adaptable, this is the role for you. Be an essential part of making the Strand stage come to life! (Hiring multiple candidates)
